Valve stem cap is stuck...help?

Being winter with the lower temps the air pressure in my tires was a bit low. One of the four valve stem caps will not come off. These are NOT metal valve stem caps, but they are genuine Infiniti logo ones (999MBYX000). They are ABS plastic and are designed not to interfere at all with the TPMS sensors. Should I wait until it warms up a bit to try pulling it off or should I go straight for a pair of pliers? I really don't want to break anything, especially the valve stem or sensor. I've had these on and off dozens of times with no problems, so I was quite surprised that one would not budge at all.

I had one "stuck" the other day on my Lancer. Wouldn't come off with my fingers so I just grabbed a pair of pliers and LIGHTLY squeezed and it spun right off.

Likely frozen. You could just hold your hand around it for a minute and you'd probably be fine.

This was exactly the case. Decided to take a pair of pliers to it tonight. It spun right off after a few turns, there was a bit of crud on the threads of the tire valve, probably what locked it in place. I replaced it with a spare I had since the pliers marred it up a bit. Not putting them on very tight again.
