Tires for my 19 x 8.5 square setup
So I ordered these. 19 x 8.5 +35 and will use spacers as needed. What tires would look good and perform well? I want a thin side wall for the low pro look. Will that happen naturally if any wheel shop picks the standard tire size for a 19 inch wheel on a g37 sedan or do i need to specify? Thanks!

The standard tire for that wheel width and most similar to OEM tire diameter would be a 245/40/19, if you want to run a shorter sidewall a 245/35/19 will work. But keep in mind this will be almost an inch shorter and 3.75% smaller than OEM. I would stick w/ the 245/40 and since you're going to a larger diameter wheel the change to an even shorter sidewall will result in a noticeably firmer ride.

That makes sense. And it would sit much lower as well. I do want it to be functional for family. If I wanted to go so harsh I could have just gone to 20s. Thanks for advice!

Can't go wrong w/ those tire choices^^^
If your budget is really stretched you might look at the Firestone Indy 500s, many around here are using them and get good reviews, Tirerack has a rebate going on so the set is about $530

Engineering Explained Youtube channel has an interesting video about an AAA test of all-season tires. Tl;dr is price does not determine quality or performance. This is where Tire Rack shines as they compare tires on a single platform to remove that variable and run the tires through a broad spectrum of road types and weather conditions. With performance tested, one can then decide how much performance one can afford.

Thanks for all these great advice everyone! Does everyone agree with blnewt that I should stick with
245/40/19 to keep the original diameter? I just hate the stock look now of huge rubber. Hoping going 19 inch in and of itself will give it a nice short sidewall.

If you don't need all seasons the Indy 500 is an excellent tire. A friend of mine has those on his 450 hp 2016 Camaro and he says they are leaps and bounds better than the goodyear supercar tires that came on it.

I just put a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sports on my OEM 19 inch wheels, size 255/40. I am in love with them. Performance is outstanding and they are very comfortable. If you need All Season tires, the DWS series is also very good. I run summer/winter sets myself. 2013 G37xS.

Hankook evo12 is almost similar to pilots but cheaper. They are usually 100 above or below s04 cost depending on sales. I was able to upsized my pilots on 1 g for 80 bucks all around over OEM size
