QX50/ex35 19's on G37X/G37?

Has anyone seen or tried using the 19" EX35 wheels on a G37x sedan? I tried searching and found nothing. They are Enkei wheels.

They use 245/45/19 tires and are 47 offset and 19 x 8

Can anyone link pics if they have these on their G?

There's been a couple that have done that, don't have pics but they will work fine, might want spacers to flush them up a bit, and if they don't have tires I would run a 245/40/19, it's much closer to the oem tire diameter on your G.

Thanks, I looked on the tire size comparison site, and I would need 245/40/19 or 225/45/19 or 235/40/19. I wish they were being sold without tires, guess I gotta remove and sell tires too now (If I buy)

This is what it would look like if anyone was wondering.

You could run the tires, just keep an eye on your AWD light, since all the tires are the same (not a staggered setup) you should be ok, but if the AWD light comes on (typically at higher speeds) then change down to that 245/40 ASAP.

I put these wheels/tires on, and am noticing a bit of an unusual feeling in the steering and how it handles.

Long story, but I have had a different G37x in the past, it came the base 17" wheels, and I immediately (like I always do) bought some 18" sport wheels that were off a G35s with bald tires and had them stored in the garage for a while, then found the proper tires 225/50/18 to swap on, but I put the wheels on with the bald tires to drive the car to the tire shop to swap the tires, but completely forgot that these were staggered, so I actually had both of the wider 245/45/18 tires on the front (by fluke) and the two skinnier 225/50/18 on the back, and the steering felt really odd (the same way that it does right now) Once I put the 4 225/50/18 tires on, the car felt exactly like before and normal.

The tires on these EX35 wheels are 245/45/19. Could the offset +47 combined with the size of the tire be causing the car to feel wrong? I just bought some winter tires 245/40/19, but am wondering if 245 is too wide for a G37XS (like when I had those staggered 18's on the front that one time, they were 245/45/18) Can anyone confirm if they are using/have used 245 on an X and the handling/steering felt normal, was okay?

If the offset was more aggressive (less positive) like a +35, you'd alter the scrub radius enough that you would have less feel (steering response) at the wheel. The +47 would get you a very similar scrub radius to the stock 17s w/ a +45. How are the condition of the tires? If they are fairly worn, and the vehicle you purchased the tires from had alignment specs quite different than yours you could get that vague feeling as well.

245s are the widest tire that should be mounted on an 8, so you will get a bit more sidewall roll under heavy cornering, I'd keep the tire inflated to the higher side of it's recommended limit.

They are fairly worn down, but the tread is even everywhere, no camber wear or anything like that. It must be the way the other vehicle alignment specs were, and I guess it can felt more with 245's, cause I have bought lots and lots of used tires before, but never had this type of feeling from used tires that were 235 and narrower. I haven't seen the AWD light come on or anything though.

I put some correct sized pirelli snow tires, and it feels normal now

I like the look of these wheels on the car, kind of reminds me of the 19" M35/M45 sport wheels that ppl have put on a G.

They look great...Nice job!

Like those wheels on your G, so you're running 225/45/19s?

Thanks.

I went and bought some decent used 245/40/19 Pirelli Sottozero snow tires (To get my winter discount on insurance)

Got it! Wasn't sure when you said proper size, but yeah, that size should work well :)
