Z1 bolt on spacers? (can't search)
 

"Z1" is too short for search to look for. Anyone have any experience with these? I want to get a set of the 20mm spacers for my duckfeet after I drop it but before I get my wheels.

I got a set for my x coupe. Haven't had them on too long but the quality seems very good.

OK, I got these and wanted to throw them on but I had a problem. Which nuts go where? I tried the stock and supplied nuts to bolt the spacer to the hub- stock nuts on the spacer didn't let the wheels sit flush, and with their supplied nuts I couldn't get the socket in deep enough. I ordered a set of deeper open end nuts with a smaller hex (19mm vs the supplied 21mm) but that was annoying.

Haven't had Z1s, but on other bolt-on spacers I've used you use the supplied nuts to thread onto your original lugs and your regular lug nuts to connect your wheel to the spacers. Usually the supplied nuts are real soft metal, easy to round off, so you need to be sure to use ONLY a 6 pt. socket and be sure it's fully seated on the nut. You might need a thin-wall socket to get in there, but the supplied nuts should work.

Torque to 80-85 ft. lbs, recheck torque after 50 miles and re-check torque every oil change, or at the very minimum, every tire rotation.

Ah, I wish I had known that. I rolled the dice on some open end bulge lug nuts instead. Based on the specs they should fit. I will also check if my 4 way wrench fits, though I'm pretty sure I tried that. My fear with a thin wall socket is that I would lose it when I needed it most. Bulge nuts should work.

Make sure you get longer and stronger studs. When I went with spacers on my m3 I ordered 1step up longer studs
