So just ordered new wheels for the summer and bought some shiny new aluminum VMS lug nuts off Ebay. Then i stumbled on some random thread about Aluminum lugs being very unsafe compared to steel lugs.

Does anyone use them? Whats your experience?

Aluminum lug nuts are fine. Make sure to buy the correct ones for your wheels.

I generally stay away from aluminum lug nuts, too soft and cross threading issues is the last thing you would want.

We use steel lug nuts and offer only steel with purchase of wheels.
