Opinion and question with offset
 

Hey guys....

My eyes are bleeding from reading all about offsets and I think im more confused than before...

I have the itch for wheels and have my eye on these...

The seller mentioned the offsets are 35 front and 38 rear... I'm lookin for a flush fit... No tuck or stretch. I want a nice clean look. I would hate to pull the trigger on these (online purchase) and they not sit right.

Although the convcave look is growing on me, I've always loved wheels with a deep lip... Thoughts??

EDIT.... I should have mentioned they are 20x8.5 and 20x10

Do you have a coupe or sedan? On a coupe they will be slightly tucked, but on a sedan they will be close to flush. It also depends on if you're lowered. The more lowered you are, the more tucked they will appear. The stretch will depend on your tire size. For those widths I would recommend 245/35/20 and 275/30/20.

I have a 2013 Coupe. I'm not dropped, but i'd like to throw on some springs (Eibach or Swift) just to close up the gap (if it needs it). I was also looking at similar sized tires... Front are same as you mentioned but 285/30/20 for the rears.

Do you think 285 would be too wide? My fenders are stock too, but I'll roll them if I have to to eliminate rubbing...

285 will definitely be cutting it real close. lowering it should definitely help you get those wheels tucked in just inside the fender but I would definitely suggest rolling the rears since not all 285 tires are made equally.

We normally suggest people getting 20x9 +35 and 20x10.5 +40 and the specs you've given are close. Let me know if you have any questions.

get the drop first and then do wheels/tires...especially if you're sticking with 20s

yup... That was the plan... I'm leaning towards the Eibachs... Ill let you all know what I decide on!

I assume your coupe is RWD, if so I'd consider the Tein Basis Z coilovers, should give you a better ride (not as firm) and you can set the exact height you want, they don't cost much more than just springs at about $500 shipped.
