Are these tires prone to losing air frequently. I feel like I'm consistenly re-filling them, especially my rear ones. Factory says 35psi and at times my rear ones are at 28. Is this a problem others are having as well? I have approx 75% tread life remaining so they are relatively new.

No tire should be losing air. It sounds like you have a slow leak unless the temperature around you is constantly fluctuating. Is it both the rears? You should probably bring it to a reputable tire shop and ask them to check for leaks. It should be anywhere from $0-$5 depending on where you go.

yep check for leaks and dents in the rims, esp on the bead where it seals. otherwise might have a small crack.

I have PSS and the only time I've lost air is when it had a nail. Works fine for me (i've had them for about 5 months)

Recently my brand new tire kept going flat and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. It wasn't until I took the wheel off and hosed the wheel and tire down with water that I found my TPMS valve was leaking.

I think the best way would be to take your wheel and hose it down or submerge it in water to find the leak.

My OE RE050 consistently lost air. The S-04 Pole Position replacements are seemingly impervious, haven't had to add air in the year-and-a-half they've been on the car except for a nail repair.

Debated between the S-04 and PSS but went with Michelin. Its not both rear tires, just one of them. I re-filled it last week when I started this thread, I'll check again in a week or so to see how they are. It has been extremely warm here in New England so not sure if that's a potential cause. I'll keep you guys posted.

I wasn't pushing the Bridgestones, just meant to indicate that tires can just leak, There's usually a problem though causing the leak.

Typically tires gain pressure with heat, not lose it. Did you replace the tps parts when you got the tires?

No I didn't, I believe everything that was on the wheel from the factory was used.

It's typically recommended that the TPMS valves be serviced when getting new tires put on. That was done when I bought my PSS; that was 10 months ago. So far no unknown leaks. Just a nail puncture.

Just an update (I know its been a month) but it was a nail in the tire, fortunately it was repairable and I'm just glad I didn't have to get a new tire, or a set of new rear tires for that matter.

My tire place said that I had a slow leak due to corrosion on my rim. They cleaned it and put a sealant on it. The tire was a PSS.
