If you have a question about wheel offsets on your coupe, sedan, or convertible post it here. But before posting, please do a little research on your own. Check with another member who you are aware has a similar offset as yours and ask them. Check this thread thoroughly to see if it's already been asked/answered. Use the tire/wheel calculator at the top of this page in orange to see if it answers your question. Search the entire forum to see if it has been addressed somewhere besides the Wheels & Tires forum. Ask a trusted wheel vendor that you are considering buying from to see if they might already have dealt with your situation and have an answer. If you still haven't found what you are looking for, post your question here so that these questions are all in one place that's easy to find for those wheel fitment gurus who are willing and able to help answer your questions.

If you are replying to a question with an answer, please make sure you are knowledgeable and have the correct answer. Double check that you are right before posting and giving someone the wrong answer or subjecting yourself to the scorn and ridicule of your peers.

Lastly, we will attempt to consolidate existing offset question threads into this thread so that they are easy to find and the thread can serve as something of a reference. Will 245/45R18 tires on 18"x9" +32 rims sit flush with the fenders (or close) on my 2012 G37x sedan? I want to do a square set so I can rotate my tires. Thanks.

With the offset of your OEM wheels you can use the calculator at the top of the page to figure this out easily. Do you know it?

I figured as much but I think Black Betty's purpose with starting this thread was to eliminate or at least reduce the multiple "will this setup work?" threads that pop up on a regular basis. Some people are too lazy to search through multiple pages of wheel/tire/suspension setups in those threads or use the simple search button to get their answer and would rather just post a question regarding the exact setup they want to run.

I personally prefer to do research on my own but I can appreciate the simplicity of just asking people with more experience for an answer.

So i was looking into getting Stance SC5 or SC6 wheels, i wanted to get the 20X10.5 all around with +27 offset, I have a non-sport g37 coupe and was thinking about 275/35/20 or should i go with another tire size? Also does this change the camber specs? will i need a camber kit? thanks guys

2013 G37 Coupe, I am guessing camber kit for the back will be needed and the front also? Anything you guys wanna help me with I am here to learn, first car I have purchased wheels for and trying to do it right. Just got my coupe about 3 weeks ago and coming from a ZO6. This offset thing really has me confused, I know it moves the wheel in or out so to speak but I don't know what I need on my ride is the problem lol.

The need for a camber kit has little to do with your wheels or their offset and everything to do with how much you lower the car. Since you have coilovers and can adjust the height, the answer is that it depends on how much you lower it. There is no concrete answer, but over about 1" of lowering is where you begin to be in camber kit height.

Seems like the Eibach kits are right at the line where you may or may not need the camber/toe kit and that's somewhere in the 1.2-1.4" range, camber up to -2 degrees will still give you good treadwear, over that and your tire wear will increase. You must get that toe in spec though, and sometimes it's a balancing act to get both in spec, if that's the case a little extra camber to keep the toe in spec is the way to go.

BTW, might want a bit more aggressive offset for a coupe, those offsets are right in between sedan/coupe offsets. something in the mid 25s would fit a bit more flush (unless you're planning on using spacers).

Yea I don't really want to use spacers, seems like most people are against it...I don't know why though guessing it's just a preference thing. I'm sure I will need the kit I want to be low.

Thanks for all the help fellas...looks like it's back to the drawing board for me. I originally wanted the Projekt One wheel and found out the rear was too aggressive, so I found the RS-8 and looks like it won't be aggressive enough.

Might try to contact the manufacturer rather than just a vendor regarding offsets. Sometimes you can get custom offsets if they haven't machined out the blanks yet.

And if you're going to the expense of a new wheel set it's time well spent getting the offsets dialed in exactly where you want. Spacers are best avoided, just another set of bolts that could come loose (luckily it's rare), or vibration. It's another couple hundred bucks you can put to something better )
