Fat lip

I went through pics and fitment to see what I like but they seem to be all over the place or if I find what I like they don't post specs.... I pm'd and no response....

So here's my question I want the fatest lip available I can get away with without adding a lot of camber or rubbing.... I don't mind a little stretch on the tire I just don't want to spend alot on tires frequently..... I think I want to go with 20x9 front and 20x10 rear just not too sure on offset... (I'm not dropped yet but I am planning to but not slammed )

Coupe or Sedan? Do you have the big Akebono brakes, and if not do you plan on upgrading down the road? Do you have a specific wheel in mind?

I have a coupe S model I don't plan on upgrading it's my daily driver I was thinking of (DPE CS10 or ST10) or (SSR MS1)

Hi
Anyone with a Sedan G37S on 19 inch Velgen VMB5's. Will like to know tire/wheel specs, if drop on what and issues if any. Already read a review of 20" VMB5 and the guy could'nt be happier. I will like to try to keep some comfort with 19's instead of 20.
It will be great if someone can post pics.

It really depends on what you are looking for. Without any stretching or large amounts of camber the ideal setup would be something along these lines:

(Insert whatever diameter wheel that you fancy, 19", 20")
Front:19x9.5 +35 offset
Rear: 19x10.5 +45 offset

Now if you go lower on the wheel widths the offsets can be tinkered with but it all depends on the "look" you are going for.

The Velgen VMB5s 19s only come in 19x9.0" for the fronts and 19x10.5 for the rear. Their offsets for the front are +25 and +35. Rears are +25 and +45.

The VMB5 are great looking wheels. So if you went with the VMBs in 19 you would want 19x9 +35 and 19x10 +45 would be the fitment I went with. Again though this the ideal of safe fitment you could say. If your into the stretched tire look and lots of camber you can change the fitments.

for the VMB5s you should get 19x9 +25 and 19x10.5 +45

Guys I can't seem to find the offset for the OEM IPL wheels. Does anyone know the IPL offsets I am looking to widen the wheels just inside of the wheel wells and lower about 1 inch lowering in the rear and 1.25 inch in the front. I plan on keeping the IPL rims so I guess my only options is spacers. I have the stagger IPL set. Here is what I have found so far:

Sport
Front: 19"x8.5". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti by Enkei. Weight: 26.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5 Offset +43
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 225/45/19 92W. UTQG 140AA, weight 27 lbs., tread depth 10/32"

Rear: 19"x9". Cast aluminum. Made for Nissan/Infiniti byEnkei. Weight: 27.5 lbs. Bolt pattern 114.3 x 5. Offset +45
Tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245/40/19 94W. UTQG 140AA, weight 30 lbs., tread depth 10/32"

Other: Lugs- 60° tapered seat, 2.7oz/76 grams each. OEM wheel locks- 3.2oz./91 grams each. Center caps .3oz./14 grams each. TPMS sensors (with valve stem & collar) 1.2oz/34 grams each (Part # 40700 -JK00B) .

Non-sport
Front & Rear 18x8 +43mm offset

Commonly used after-market offsets:
Front width: 8.5" +30-35mm offset Rear width: 9.5" +30-35mm offset

I tried looking them up w/ no luck. Since you have the wheels I'd just pull one of the fronts and one of the rears off the car and see what offset is stamped into the back side of the rim. Then let the rest of us know

Hey all, just need a quick sanity check. Based on this thread, and many others, i think my offsets should be fine, but I've seen conflicting reports so i want to double check before pulling the trigger.

2011 xS Coupe on Eibach at stock alignment

F: 19x8.5 +25 245/40
R: 19x9.5 +35 275/35

I just want to be sure i won't be rubbing anywhere, and most certainly not poking.

Ok, so I haven't been on here in forever...but I hope I can find some help/answers.

I own a: 2008 G37s Coupe

I'm about to purchase some Rohana RC10s. Thinking of 20x10 +25F and 20x11 +20 Rear. And then get an Eibach ProKit drop or Tein HTech drop.

I don't like the 20x9 concave since it's not as concave as the 10s. But I'm going for this look. Found this pic somewhere on the forums, and didn't know who's it was.

If anyone can help me out, I'd hella appreciate it. Just trying to get all the specs rt for what I'm looking for. So if all the specs I've given is good, what size tires should I run. Not really going for hella poke or stretch on this set up.

You'll be OK w/ that setup, could even go +30 in front. If you want a slightly bigger tire in the rear (diameter wise) you can go w/ a 235/40/19 front 275/35/19 rear, this will give you a 0.67% larger diameter in back so as your rear tires wear faster you'll eventually be equal front to back. If you go 245/275 your -0.52% will get larger as your rear tires wear faster than the front. Hope that makes sense

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably stick with the 245 in the front, since the sidewall is over half an inch shorter than stock on the 235.

As far as the offset is concerned, the wheels I'm after only come in +25 and +35. If you think it would be a better look (erring on the side of tuck over poke) I could go with the +35 and 5mm spacer if need be.

I initially planned to run a 19x10 in the rear with the 285s to get the extra height, but this rim is only available in a +25 in the 10" width, and I think that's a bit aggressive.

Check this thread from post #47 on out, his AWD coupe is on 8.5 +35 &
10 +40, and 245/285 tires, they're 20s but the fit at the fenders will be essentially the same as 19s. I think the F&R fit is about what you're wanting, and running 275s in back w/ a bit less positive offset on a 1/2" narrower rim should net a similar fit. I think I'd opt for the +35 in front, especially is you're not adverse to running a small spacer. Here's the thread

As far as the tires, the 235/40s are only 0.18" smaller in diameter than the 275/35s and that's the critical variance, both 245/275 and 235/275 will work alright, I was just throwing that option at you since it the variance will improve over time and the 245/275 will get worse.
