Well, that didn't work. No thanks to Element Wheels...

So I finally decided on getting 19s for my 2011 G37S....checked everything out...called Element Wheels directly and told them over and over that I had a Sport model. I ordered Roderick RW3's, 19X8.5 and 19X9.5....get them in...and they don't fit. Not even close. They sent +35 for front and +45 for rear. I'm so pissed I can barely type. Soooo, now I have 19'' Conti's sitting around while I find something that fits to mount them on. While waiting to get these returned. Awesome.

Too bad. Nothing's worse than getting all worked up over a costly purchase, only for it to have some sort of problem.

That sucks. Those wheels look good, shame they don't fit.

Rad_Slinger Apr 12, 2012 08:53 PM

Can't You call them and return them due to them not being the correct wheels?

There's gotta be something they can do.

Fumanchu Apr 12, 2012 09:14 PM

How did they not fit? Those sizes and offsets should have no problem fitting.

G35Bundy Apr 12, 2012 09:20 PM

I have no idea

I didn't believe it either until they showed me....

Fumanchu Apr 12, 2012 09:27 PM

What did not fit? I ran similar sizes and dozens have ran the same sizes on their sedans. What size tires did you buy?

I'm guessing they don't clear the front brakes. I had the same issue when ordering a set of winter wheels. Fortunately it was a local dealer.
When it comes to clearing a BBK, size and offset isn't the only factor if the wheel spokes are too inset or concave.
All too often this happens. I feel bad for the OP. Good luck getting it resolved.

Fumanchu Apr 12, 2012 10:11 PM

Still doesn't sound right. People have ran 19x8.5 +45 in the front on sports and have had no problems. Looking at the specific wheels in question it doesn't appear he would have a problem.

Oh well. Guess he did though.

surfjax87 Apr 12, 2012 10:27 PM

Its all about spoke design more than offset. The wheels the op bought have a 2 or 3 inch lip on the front wheel which makes brake clearance an issue.

So

Who can name a 19" staggered setup that will fit a Sport? Preferably without requiring spacers. I've liked some Lorenzo WL28's, the Axis Shine, Vertini Hennessey's....:dunno:

Forgestar F14.

So I still am not clear why they dont fit. Wrong disk type and dont clear the brakes? I would try to return them but are you totally against running spacers? Offsets are kinda weak anyway.
