Problems with one of my tires HELP !!!
On one of my back tires 265/30, one of wires from inside the tire poked through the sidewall and its leaking air. Can i patch the tire to fix it? but im hesitant because its a wire from inside not a nail or something like that.
I bought the rims and tires from another member on here. Can i call hankook because i believe its a tire defect or am i screwed because im not the original buyer of the tires ? would it be better if i took it to a shop? any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance |
Wow! That's the first I've ever heard! Definitely call hankook on that, are you lowered and running crazy camber?
Whatever you were thinking about doing don't because you cannot patch anything near or on the sidewall |
If you have wires poking out from the inside, you don't need to repair it, you need to replace it. It's done.

is the tire so worn down that the belts are showing? Then you need a new one.
If it is just a weird defect that call the tire manufacturer. |
Is your tire seriously worn? Like bald? That sounds like a manufacturing defect if your tire is still in usable condition other than the wire sticking through the side. I suggest looking at the warranty offered by 1) the tire shop you bought it from (fine print on the back of your invoice likely) and then 2) the manufacturer of the tire, and explain how the tire is.
Edit: And now that I re-read your post, ignore the tire shop warranty. |

Are you lowered? Have you been running with majorly low tire pressure?? . |
