cooper cs4 touring tires and handling
The oem goodyears were worn out and it was time for a new set of tires. on a whim my dad bought Cooper cs4 touring tires. the set, installed, was about 550. a set of michelins or goodyears would have probably run 750-800. there's clearly more road noise with the Coopers, handling isn't nearly as sharp as it was with the oems. At higher speeds, the car feels a bit unstable too. Not sure if mileage is being affected, the mpg readout has been at 19.5 since the ecu got replaced about 6 months ago.
does anyone else use/ has anyone else used cooepr tires? how has your experience been? just looking for some feedback, not really sure what to do. thanks. |
I haven't had to replace my tires on the new G yet... but I used Yokohama S Drives a few times on the last G. Very good tires, IMO. Handle well, low noise, and lasted almost 30k miles and I drive her hard.
