Going to get Continental ExtremeContact DWS instead.

Hey whats up guys, how is the summer going? Its pretty nice here in Jersey. So I was leaning towards Hankooks V12, but after reading articles, talking to tirerack etc, I was told that the best thing for my driving, since Its my daily car to get the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. So what you guys think? I plan getting 245/40/19, 275/35/19 combo. I was riding with the OEM tires in the winter, and I was told that below 40F even with no snow, the original Potenzas is like driving on marble hard rock, so the tires is doing me no good. I wonder where I can get the cheapest price for these tires? Thanks. your advise is greatly appreciate it!:driving::dance::biggthumpup:

Any suggestions? Feedback? Opinions?

Great tire to have. Totally different vs. the V12's though. Conti is a sport a/s tire so they will last longer, ride better, and perform in cold/snow conditions. The Hankook will handle dry better and can be pushed more being a summer only tire. Living in NJ and using year round I'd do the Conti.

Neal,

Can you get us a better price than whats listed on the site?

Best I can do is what's listed online. Tried to organize a break but can't get approval.

I have had these tires for almost 6 months and they are awesome. They are quiet, handle well in everything I have put the car through in Michigan and Chicago. I've had Eagles, Dunlops and Michelens in the past and these are the BEST A/S tire by far. Just my 2 cents.

I have a set of these but only the DW, great tires so far, no complaints.

Excellent Tire

I have them in 285/245 on my G coupe and a set on my G sedan. Even outfitted my truck with a set. They are great all the way around.

had the DWS on my Audi...I don't think you will find a better UHP A/S tire

You have the 245/40 285/35/ on your OEM wheel? Any problems with that? I was debating between 275/35 or 285/35. How much does this affect your MPG?

It looks like a lot of people have the 245/275 combo.

Thanks!

What would you consider for the Dallas area? DW or DWS?

We get an average of a few days a year ice/snow, and I may want to drive out of state when it's cold, don't want to get stuck somewhere on snow with no traction.

Would it make sense to put DWS's on in Dallas? I've got 17's, so considering the 255/50 instead of the stock 235/55's.

Thanks

If you have any chance of seeing freezing temps, snow, ice, etc when you drive you'll need the DWS all season tire. The will also ride better and last longer being an a/s tire. Largest I show to wrok properly is a 245/50-17.

Yes, my bad... stock is 225/55-17, not 235/55-17 as I stated in my message. A 245/50-17 gets it very close.

Thanks
