I'm looking at doing the same thing... could I just install 245/40/19 tires all around?

The stagger is minimal so the diameter should be within the 1% range going 245/40/19s all around.

That wasn't entirely clear and the "edit post" isn't working for some reason...

Is there any reason we couldn't install the staggered set of 19" rims, and just put the same sized tires on all four corners?

I'm trying to think of any reasons but can't... and the rims are only 1/2" difference in width so that shouldn't make any difference...

You were clear (at least I got it )
245/40/19s will have a standard mount (not pinched or stretched) on rims ranging from 8" to 9.5" and the 8.5/9" staggered set will only have a slight diameter difference front to back w/ that minimal stagger, under the 1% range. So yeah, you can do it.

Why would there be any diameter difference at all? Is it becuase when you put a 245 tire on 8.5" wide rim, it's taller than when you put the same tire on 9" wide rim? Due to a "slight pinch" on the smaller rim and a "slight stretch" on the wider rim?

Yep, that would be it, but like I mentioned, the difference will be so minor that it won't affect anything.

So will 19" sport tires from a 2015 Q50 Sport (AWD) fit on my 2010 G37x?

Seems like the answer is 'yes'

If OEM tires, it's a 245/40R19 on the '15 Q50 Sport AWD. If so, then yes. Not sure if the offsets are ideal, but I'd wager they fit fine.
