Great American Eclipse 2017

Is anyone making plans to travel to see the Total Eclipse in August 2017? I am looking at heading from Pennsylvania/Maryland down to South Carolina to try to get a good view. Looks like Columbia is dead center in totality and I would have the option of heading either to Charleston or Greenville to dodge weather, if necessary. Nashville may be another option.

Going to a friends house in Gates, Oregon; 00:02:18 of totality! Local motel has been sold out for over a year

I only have to travel about an hour to my home town in northern Kansas to see it.
