My New Shoes - M35 Sport

What up guys, just wanted to give you a shot at commenting on the looks of My DG M with some new wheels. Foose Nitrouse with grey center. All negative and positive comments are welcome. I personally think the combo came out great. The wheel changes color in sunlight just like the DG paint.

Specifications:

20 x 8.5 all around

5.114, +34 offset, 245/35/20 Pirelli PZeros

JReedG35C 02-24-2006 10:52 AM

Sorry guys...try this link...Pics of the car are at the bottom. Sorry, I never get rid of my stock wheel how often I trade in vehicles.

Excellent set up but not feeling the wheels. They kinda look cheap. Not the classy look the M deserves. I've seen those on mustangs and chargers.

Good comments....but it does match pretty well. Had to have a five spoke design with a lip and I wanted it to look sporty. Thanks for the comment.

I don't know about them looking cheap...even though I got them at a good price cheap looking isn't one of their flaws. I've seen them on mustangs and chargers as well. Thanks for the comments.

sen_jen 02-24-2006 12:51 PM

to be honest, i don't like them either. the rims belong on a stang, or charger only. the M deserves something with quality, integrity, and passion. as long as you're happy.

Thanks for the comment...and yes I am happy with them. BTW what kind of wheel would you choose if you were looking for something aftermarket?

Weds, Work, Rays, Hart, Amistad, iForged, HRE, DPE.

madchef 02-24-2006 02:01 PM

Copy paste link into a new window, don't click.

I think it looks pretty cool. I'm having a hard time leaning one way or another...I'd prob have to stare at it in person for a while :)

MikeyMike 02-24-2006 02:30 PM

Sorry, not a fan....sell them and get some DPE's or iforged...

UofMG35 02-24-2006 02:34 PM

I don't think the wheels look cheap, or only belong on Mustangs and Chargers. I can see why you want a 5 spoke design, because I also like a clean 5 spoke design.

However, in this case I think the stock 19"s look classier, cleaner and better. Just my opinion though.

I see...I had a limit to what I was willing to pay this time. After have SSR GTR on my Z and some MAYAs on my G coupe I realized it's not a paticular brand that makes you car look good. It's the design. On thing these wheels do have is a great design.Again thanks for your comments....

As long as you're happy that's all that matters, I guess.

Clean 5 spoke design are all I get. I hate the spaghetti rims...hard to clean and don't look as strong. I'm not trying to change anyones mind here and actually happy to get the critiques. However in person most would change their minds about the look. In the winter my nice 19 inch stocks will get there time to roll. ;) Thanks for the comments....

now that ive looked at the pictures enough..

i have to say i really like them, they're unique.. prob. weill never see them on an M

the gunmetal and the style of the rims gives it a really sporty touch

good job

FL-G35 02-25-2006 12:33 AM

Nice wheels, they are definetely sweet. If you like them, then that is what makes it yours...unique. I just don't feel them on the M, I agree they seem more "American Muscle."

Thanks...Unique is exactly what I was looking for. Sporty wheels for my sports sedan. The more you look the more hooked you become. Great design and color by Foose.

not my cup of tea........but if you like it thats all that matters

ashtangaz2001 02-25-2006 04:41 AM

I dont particularly like how chrome looks on Infinitis or the wheels themselves but the setup is really nice and they actually dont look too bad-theyre just not what I would choose. Then again, its your car :)

If i got chrome rims i would choose Iforged Synergys- I like the look of those, they almost look like a G35 coupes 19" wheels.

GEE35FX 02-25-2006 08:20 AM

You obviously did your homework, the new rims fit the wheelwell perfectly, but I would prefer a wheel with a simpler, yet classy look. Love the car:cool: .

BuckeyeG 02-25-2006 09:02 AM

I think they look good on it

Chrome wheels?? Well the idea I had in my head when choosing these wheels was to match the color and door handle and roofline chrome accents. It's a stainless steel lip.

Well thanks guys for all the comments...The good and the bad. I think most of you like them but maybe not for yourselves. That's cool. Its great being unique for the moment. I sorta get the feeling I won't be the only one with these wheels especially if they ever come with a black center. That's a can't miss color. It's been a strange past 4 years for me...from Z to G to M. :D CRAZY...I'm keeping this baby though. Hands down the toys (Navi/MES) are amazing in this car. I need to change my user profile....BTW taking comments from you guys is the easy part....I'm lucky I haven't been put out of the house by the wifey. I'm a lucky man to have had 3 beautiful vehicles...Again...thanks...Old to New>>>>

ashtangaz2001 02-26-2006 03:13 AM

Wow, im really dumb. I looked at the picture ALL the way at the bottom of that link...now I see. I like the ones you chose after seeing the picture you just posted here. They kind of look like a mustang GT's but they actually go well with the M.

Thanks...I couldn't get the pistures up at first as you can see by the Ray Charles comment. :p I think they're growing on a few people. Can you imagine these on a black M. I was driving last night beside one of those gas tankers with the chrome trailer. Dam the car looks good on the move. The inner wheers grey out and all you see is a chrome circle.

escobar929 02-26-2006 12:58 PM

i dont think they look bad at all, although i agree they look like rustang wheels.

da mayor 03-02-2006 01:41 PM

I'm sure they'll grow on people. BTW - must be nice to have 3 such nice toys! :) AWESOME! Are they all garaged I hope?

aszatk01 03-03-2006 09:47 AM

looks alright...i wanted foose lussos on my coupe till i saw them.

i agree though its not the brand. people saying expensive rims means classier look on your M. completely disagree, its all about the style of the rim.

Actually I traded in the Z for the G and then the G for the M. Yes the M is garaged. I miss my G coupe though....It was the most fun to drive...6MT.

jimmyc13 03-03-2006 05:40 PM

You went from a G coupe 6MT to the M35? Must seem slower....... Guess too much $ for the M45?

JReedG35C 03-06-2006 07:06 AM

Yeah it's slower...I call it my old man car, but it's no sloach either. Could've gotten the M45 but opted to get the M35 with all the bells and whistles.

Balzac72 03-16-2006 08:21 AM

Not feeling em for the car. The M can utilize a deep dish, which is where I'd go with it. Ever seen the BMW 540's rolling on rims with big lips? Now that's the ish I'm talking about!

I'd honestly prefer the stock rims, which look like an old Enkei design I coveted!

buckwilly 04-08-2006 01:16 PM

JReed:
The Foose wheels are a little too busy for the M35, but then again, to each their own and I have seen much worse. There are quite a few great looking 5 spoke designs available and you have had great taste in wheels in the past from looking at pics.

You must have watched one to many "American Muscle" episodes on TV recently and this has tainted your JDM appeal? Just quessing here.... It happens to the best of us.

On a better note: Are your stock wheels available for sale?

da mayor 04-08-2006 03:05 PM

they're not bad looking.

Well thanis for the responses. I didn't even think this thread was still going. Anyway, I finally got my camera fixed and was able to take pics from a few other angles. check-em out.

futbol333 04-10-2006 04:03 PM

that is simply beautiful...you chose a great set of shoes...great job...i love the look...

MikeStarrG35 04-10-2006 06:46 PM

I really like them, looks great.

GuyLegend 04-10-2006 10:35 PM

JReedG35C 04-11-2006 07:27 AM

Amazing....I swear a few camera shoots later everyone seems to love-em. 4 thumbs up in a row makes me think it was the pictures I took ealier. The last 3 pics give you a better idea of what they add to the vehicle. I would love to see these in black on a black M. Man that would be ridiculous.

Thanks guys for the responses.

Crespo 04-11-2006 08:56 AM

looks like the hamman 5 series rims

Blackjack 04-14-2006 08:32 AM

Nice clean look for the M. I don't think you would want anything more. I'm diggin 'em. Kudos bro!

JReedG35C 04-20-2006 07:14 AM

Thanks for the nice comments. I noticed this thread has over 2k views. Dang....I now there aren't that many of us with M's. on this site.

truplay8 04-20-2006 05:37 PM

there ok........an M can pull them off.........i would have gotten more of a deep dish wheel like J Line or Iforged

JDM 350GT 04-20-2006 09:39 PM

nice rims......(?)
reminds me of starfish...;
i think the only problem is that those spokes are too...thick(?)
i am just not feeling those spokes :/

dsard 05-14-2006 10:32 PM

awesome wheels...I saw them in person on a G coupe last week and fell in love..thinking about putting these Foose nitrous 20" rims-gray with toyo proxes tr1 275/30/20 -rear with 245/30/20 on my DG G coupe.

JReedG35C 05-15-2006 07:04 AM

I've never seen them on a coupe. Did they go with the staggered set-up?

reggiek 05-15-2006 08:08 PM

I don't post much but I feel compelled to comment....because you did such a great job on your choices for the Z and G. The M looks good but the choice could have been a lot better. Definitely unique, you won't get anyone to copy your creation. You like it and that's all that matters.

JReedG35C 05-16-2006 07:48 AM

Well I guess I have an excuse sorta...This is the first 4 door car I've ever owned. I really didn't want to go overboard. I've always had 2 door coupes and found them very easy to accesories. I still don't think I did a bad job. The only thing I regret is I didn't go with a staggered set-up. The rear wheel turning sorta put an end to that dream but they don't move all that much. I didn't want to take a chance putting some meaty 275's back there. Anyway thanks for the comments.

my_Gthang 05-17-2006 09:46 AM

looking good...

dsard 05-19-2006 02:47 PM

yeah, the coupe I saw on the dealership floor had staggered setup---275 rear and 245 front..I thought it looked awesome
