nice hardware fellas. "the right to bear arms, shall not be infringed"..... for those that reside in shi tho le commiefornia especially around illegal immigrant havens such as la of sf its become such a pain to be a law abiding firearm owner. soon ammunition can not be purchased through the internet and the requirements to own firearms has been more and more stringent. hope everyone stays vigilant and not show off what one has over social media especially if you are a in commiefornia. in addition i suggest stockpiling ammo before the online ammo purchase ban takes effect by the end of the year.

We finally moved out of silly NY where the gun laws suuuuucked to FL where they will let you get what you want

I get to shoot weekly now and it's a great feeling to shoot my own pistol and rent some SICK rifles when the mood strikes!!

Ccw

I'm planning on getting my CCW as soon as I turn 21. I was thinking of getting a Glock 19 as my first pistol but wanted to get other's opinions as well.

I think it's the quintessential CCH.

But, it's kinda heavy, and while not difficult to conceal, I tend grab my j-frame more often than not.

I used to carry a Sig Sauer P250 in 9 mm, but switched to a Kimber Ultra CDP II in .45 ACP because I really like the safety mechanism on the .45. I know folks that love Glocks and shoot well with them; personally they feel too plastic-y for me, like they should have "Mattel" stamped on them somewhere. But whatever you pick, pick it because it fits your hand, comes up straight, and it's comfortable for you to shoot.

Then practice practice practice - not just square on with a two-handed grip 3 yards away from a static paper target. Practice with your off-hand only and your strong-hand only. Practice from your knees or your belly or flat on your back if you can. Practice moving while shooting. Practice in dim light. Practice shooting from retention. Figure out how long it takes you to run 21 feet, then set up a drill with two targets about 35 feet apart and see if you can put six bullets (1 center-of-mass in the first target, 2 in center-of-mass in the second, 1 in the head of the second, 1 in the head of the first, 1 in center-of-mass of the first) in the targets in the time it took you to run 21 feet. Don't rely on the license, rely on the skills that good practice will give you.

Sig Sauer P250 (9 mm)
S&W 686 (.38 sp / .357 Mag)
Kimber Ultra CDP II (.45 ACP)
S&W M&P 15-22 (the most fun you can have with .22 LR)
Mossberg Maverick (20 gauge)

The 9 mm and the .22 are for range fun, the revolver I don't shoot much anymore but one of my sons loves it for steel targets, the .45 is my carry buddy, and the 20 gauge is for clays. I'm looking for a trap gun next. I've never been hunting but have no objection to it, just haven't had an opportunity.
