Anyone's vents draw moisture if the A/C isn't on?

Not sure if it's the weather or just something with my cars, but if I have the fan on without having the A/C on, I will get condensation on the vent. I know one of hte purposes of an A/C is to dehumidify, but I'm just wondering because I've noticed this same problem on my honda accord

Maybe your cabin air filter is damp?

Also - my moms car does the same thing

I doubt all 3 cars have damp air filters. The accord for sure isn't damp. I've checked it multiple times

90% humidity maybe?

veils1de Aug 23, 2012 04:01 AM

Eh, I could check but I live in LA, which is why I'm posting in SoCal. I'm sure humidity is roughly the same. I take it you guys arent experiencing this?

Did you used the AC prior to noticing the condensation on your windows?

veils1de Aug 23, 2012 03:21 PM

The condensation doesnt occur on the windows; it occurs on the vents. I guess it's not a huge deal but if you touch the vents it gets extremely moist, pretty much like water droplets. This only happens if the a/c is off but the fan is still on. I'm just wondering because I want to turn off the a/c to save gas and its sometimes actually too cold lol
