N.C. Zoo in Asheboro April 8th Meet
We've been discussing this in the "Carolina G's" thread, but I felt that it needs it's own.
The current plan is to meet at the N.C. Zoo in Asheboro (more Zoo info here: North Carolina Zoo ) on April 8th. We haven't set a start time for this yet, but the park opens at 9am.
I've been able to obtain a Zoo Pass from where I work that will get 8 people in for free. Another member of the forum has the ability to get discounted tickets as well. So with this in mind, if we have more than 8 in attendance, the cost to get the 9th+ people in should be divided equally among the entire group.
Also, at the moment, this is just a meet and Zoo visit. We haven't discussed anything else.
I'd like for us to start a running list of who is planning on attending, so copy the list and add your user name and any +1,+2.... etc. so that we can get a guestimate.

Sweeeeet! Once we get a better count we can figure out a food place and maybe a spot for a photo shoot. I'm hoping to have my coilovers dialed in before this trip so the drive there and back will not result in any car damage.. haha

We have 8 ppl & 5 cars, but would like to have more!!!!!
Basically...... we are just using an area in the parking lot of the zoo as a meeting location. For those wishing to go into the zoo to see the exhibits, they will need tickets. At the moment we have 13 Free Pass/Tickets. If there are more than 13 that want to see the exhibits, we'll spread the $$$ across all that go in. With that said, if you're not interested in going into the zoo, you don't have too and if you don't go into the zoo, you don't need a ticket, so all it will cost you it your time and traveling expense to/from this meet.
Now we just need to decide which parking lot (there's an Upper and a Lower). I'll suggest that we meet in the Upper Lot and that we setup halfway or further out away from the parks entrance. Just want us to come off as a being "respectable" of the other guest to the zoo.
This was just my suggestion...... what are your's?

Would you guys want to grab some food before / after? I guess going through the zoo is not much of a "first meet" activity.. haha. I get easily distracted.
Maybe we can do breakfast (since everyone likes food.. and I love breakfast food) and then head to the zoo, take some pics, and if anyone doesn't want to go through the zoo they can just take off at that point.
220 Grill is about 10 minutes North. Cheap breakfast ftw.
There is also Huddle House - 24h diner a couple more minutes north.
As far as parking, I agree with being "out of the way" and respectful of other zoo visitors. If it's a nice weekend, there will be a lot of people there. So Upper lot, mid-to-further out is a good idea. Pope, feel free to do a screenshot of the area and circle the lot in paint (or whatever editor) so everyone knows exactly where it's at. (Or I can do it as well - let me know.)

Anyone heading from Raleigh, etc, we can meet up and ride together. I always take
US 1 to 421(Siler City exit), then jump on hwy 64.
Also, huddle house is a good spot.
