Maybe Crazy Irish and his buddy will join? Are they from the area ..? It would be Fun if we had at least a few cars willing to play on the highway.
It's getting close let's set it up.

We're both in Winston. His car is getting wrapped, hopefully it will be done in time. Still not 100% sure about myself making it. I may or may not get pulled for weekend overtime.

Well....... the park opens at 9am and I'd like to be there then as well. Yes, this is just my preference as I like to get into and out of the park before it get crowded (which during past visits starts happening around 12 noon).
So my "suggestion" would be breakfast around 8am, get to the park by 9am, enter the park, exit the park just before 12 noon (11:30ish), hangout in the parking-lot with those that didn't want to go into the park, leave out for a late lunch (1-1:30), return home (or to wherever you're going to after the Zoo).

I'm not seeing the "fun run" in your plans. :P
Also, since most of us are 2h aware, the wake up time on Saturday will have to be 5.30 or earlier. I don't see that playing well with some (and my woman).
Just a couple of things to consider, although I do agree that zoo crowds with tons of little s**t machines running around can be a pita.

I can be at the breakfast spot around 10am. How's that work with everyone else ? Which place did we decide on, huddle house or ??
If no ones riding from the Raleigh area (except the pope), I'll head down Friday night. I'll have the 5 zoo tickets as well. If anyone needs a hotel (Comfort Inn) at a discount rate, I could help wth that.
We should also exchange info once we are all set.

I'm leaning towards the Biscuitville, but Huddle house will work as well. These are right next to each other so should be an easy decision, once we are there.
Looks like there is a small lot all the way in the back that we should be able to use.
Can we agree on 9am breakfast? Pope, Shawn? Others? It'll be a rough morning, but might be a good middle ground between 'too early' and 'too late'.
Both of these places should have a pretty quick turn around so as long as we are in/out in about 30 minutes, we can still make it to the zoo in a reasonable time.
If needed, I can shorten the fun run a bit too.
