I'm in the Raleigh (Garner) area. Not sure of the route that I'll take. Most of the time it's just I40 East to US1 South to Hwy64 West.

Just wanted to see if there were others that haven't seen this that would like to attend.

So is there going to be a drive too? Any nice roads? I'm completely stock right now but I have a buddy with a 370z that might want to come up too.

Yes! You drive too the Zoo on a route of your choosing and when you leave, you get to choose your route back to your home or to wherever you're going to next. :bowrofl: Sorry!

With all kidding aside, nothing has been planned. If you'd like to be in charge of working up a drive, by all means, go right ahead. :driving:

Is anyone familiar with the area?
I'll poke around the map and see what's in the area. Thinking:
- Breakfast
- Fun run
- Pics
- Zoo

Crazyirish 03-21-2017 10:06 AM

Not interested in the Zoo, but interested in the car meet aspect. Bave a buddy that just got a G who is too. If you guys decide anything definitive for before or after let me know. Thanks!

kiseliok 03-21-2017 10:23 AM

Yea, I'll put an agenda for "before" so everyone not interested in the zoo can duke out mid-day. :)
Feel free to add your name to the list.

Option 1, if available, is the preference (remote).
Option 2 if 1 is not available.

See if this link opens - should be directions from 200 Grill through Uwharrie to the Zoo - about an hour total.
Clicky here...

The link opened fine for me.

Oh, I also agree on Option 1 for parking or just a little bit north of where the arrow is pointing.

Does anyone have any feedback on the itinerary? Shorter / longer fun run? Different breakfast place? Suggestion for a photo op?

kiseliok 03-24-2017 03:18 PM

Speed limits on these should be 35-45, if that's your concern. I don't think it'll necessarily be 'boring'. There isn't much elevation change in these areas, afaik, so it's tough to find good twisties. If anyone knows the area better, feel free to build a different run / suggest different paths. :)

TruuG 03-27-2017 10:51 AM

Yea, I'm down to run . From Raleigh to Asheboro is a nice highway drive. :11::driving:
who's coming from the Raleigh area? Let's meet up.
