2010 G37 Vert won't Shut Off!!!

I am having a reoccuring problem with my 2010.

Every once in a while when I need to turn the car off, it won't shut off.

I press the shut down switch multiple times, but nothing, the car keeps operating (running).

Took it to the dealer and they disconnect the Battery to kill the car.

I have had it in approx. 4 times now and they say they keep replacing parts, but still having this issue, of course when they have the car, the car behaves perfectly.

They say that they have never heard of this issue.

Has anyone here experienced this and if so, what was the fix?

Thanks

Wow this sounds weird , did they try replacing the push button itself?

I have read that you can fry the cars electronics by disconnecting the battery while the car is running, and you should never do that. It used to be a test to see if the alternator was working correctly, if it continued running the alternator is good, but the car dies if the alternator isn't pushing enough juice. With modern cars they recommend NOT doing this test, so if it gets done, make sure the dealership are the ones doing it. Not sure what the lemon laws are in your state, but your car may be eligible for buyback. As much as I know you would hate to part with it, that may be your best option if they can't fix it. Good luck.

Major safety issue. Call Infiniti and have them resolve this or replace the vehicle!!!
