New Navigation Bar
This new feature of having quick access controls in a bottom-page, floating Div... seems like a good idea, but really adds no extra value to forum use, while reducing valuable screen real estate. It's annoying. How about a setting to turn it off, please? On by default, and off by user choice? |
+1
The new look seems cluttered. |
Came here to say the same. It is a nuisance. There really needs to be an option to turn it off.
|
There is indeed an option to turn it off. To hearken back to the Usenet days, the rest is LaaEftR. |
If there is an option I'd really like to know where to find it. I've went through all the user settings and haven't found anything.
|
Clue number 1: User CP. |
I've already been through the User CP two or three times.

Yeah, doesn't help. There is nothing "infinity" to click on once in user cp.

What the hell does infinite scroll have to do with navigation bars? It doesn't say anything about the bars. It only states about loading the next page.
At least label it better so it is easier to find. |
I discovered this by accident. Someone (a mod who shall remain nameless) asked about turning off the infinity scroll, so I quickly found it and discovered turning off the scroll also turns off the header and footer. Agreed, the option needs more explanatory txt. I like the header/footer because it fits the way I use the forums. I'm less enthused about the infinity scroll. I couldn't care less about related threads. |
I could care less one way or the other about the infinity scroll, that's what posts per page is for in the first place. I turned off related threads too.
The header/footer goes against everything my brain is used to for foruming. I have been on forums for 15 years. The "options" the header/footer "add" actually add nothing. Everything on the header/footer is available on every thread page anyway. Nothing about it makes any sense. |
Thank you. All is right with the world again. I also don't like this new wysiwyg editor, but whatever, man. I'll deal with it. |
