Here is a pretty good link from this forum on the process
https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...vi-unit-2.html
For those with nav, the install is not as bad as those without. You just have to do some rewiring of the harness but, in essence, is pretty close to plug and play.
I do some additional documentation I will include with the sale. I really wanted to add the streaming BT to my car as well as the crisper backup camera and newer interface.

from what i am seeing online it sounds incredibly difficult to put these into a non-nav Zed. most people recommend an aftermarket setup but, imho, afters never look good in cars.

yea, i already have an aftermarket radio/nav unit installed, and i know its pretty much redundant (from a functionality standpoint) to also have an oem nav installed as well but I really like the look of the oem nav system. I suppose I could always install a tablet or something.

here is a post from a guy who had no nav and it details pretty well what everything will look like. this is obviously more involved because you are missing antenna and such.

for the new price I am very interested. I have a few questions regarding the swap, and Ive already tried the links you posted in here and chased other links inside from there, seems like theres not a single consolidated post for the swap, and I couldnt find all the answers. I have a 2008 bose w/navi by the way. So my questions are 1) Does it come with the harness/connector or will my harness fit and I am just needing to swap around wires? 2) will my steering wheel audio controls still work? 3) will I need to get any additional parts from another G to do this conversion?
Main reason I want this swap is for bluetooth audio streaming and being able to see the info of what I am streaming along with controlling the music using steering wheel controls. Thank you, and sorry for the long post.
