Why are you thinking about switching out. Just curious. I ended up buying the other guys SRI's. Call me paranoid but in the summer it rains almost every day as you know in FL so I'm a little worried about water in the intake.

Well because as we all know, the CAI are going to give more performance. On top of that, my SRI's didn't come with a heat shield so they were pretty much useless as far as performance.

I was asking the guy with the stillens for sale why he was thinking of swapping out. I know why you're swapping out hotsawce.

I'm thinking about getting the bigger AAM R-line intakes because I plan on ordering the EPS 70mm throttle body. The Gen3s are great if you don't plan on boring out things. I would get a heat shield for your sri if you don't already have it. You shouldn't be paranoid unless it literally floods in your area. Rain won't compromise your engine even if its heavy. The only way water can cause damage is if your intakes are literally submerged in water. Plus, the Gen3s are in a pretty safe location behind the grill instead of under the wheel well. If you really want to be super safe there are hydroshields you can put over your filters without compromising performance.
