Yeah man that doesnt look good at all plus dust and stuff will stick to it
but if it solved your problem then thats what matters.
So, yes immediately after application dust is easy to get on it.
The pics were taken the next day outside (windy) so it's a bit dirty.
Additional coatings on the edges was done, but once cleaned up it's fine.

Guess what???!!! I spoke too damn soon. It rubbed off today LOL. I'll need to retry with a thicker layered application and daytime drying vs overnight.

LOL. The roof button was peeling also. The roof gets used at least 2-4 times a day, 6-7 days a week.
Roof button should not peel - I am sure you can get that piece replaced under warranty. If you shifter was peeling also, I think that is also a candidate for warranty replacement...
Neither seems normal for a car that is not yet 2 years old

I've asked about the shifter already. Not covered. I'm keeping the PD on the roof button through. Unless there is some TSB for the shifter "wear" just like the steering wheel wear, I don't see it happening unfortunately. Also I'm not sure if any contact with specific detailing products would have accelerated the wear.
Had to check out is thread when I saw your subject, but after seeing the shifter I don't think it looks that nice. Yes, it does fix the peeling problem, but a new shift **** or M45 **** would look a hell of a lot better IMHO.
I painted the middle of the shift ****. Plasti dip seems like a bad idea though :/

I hear you guys. I'm gonna make one more attempt and then look at some alternatives.
