R.I.P MyG37S aka "El Satanas"

So I got into an accident on Monday morning, insurance picked up the car on tuesday to have it inspected and the adjuster calls me today to let me know it's a total loss. I got to admit I'm definitely gonna miss my G. Everybody who knows me personally on this forum knows how much I took care and loved this car. So much time, effort, energy and of course parts and money went into this car. Sad, sad day. So to all my fellow G members, enjoy your rides as much as you can, I know I definitely did.

The damage. The steering wheel airbag, both passenger front and rear airbags and the passenger seat airbag went off. Wheel got pretty bent but didn't CRACK :JAMIN:

GraphiteG37S 07-20-2012 02:55 AM

Damn Carlos sorry to see this bro.. At least you're okay.

Black Bird 07-20-2012 05:49 AM

I see your car is still alive!

Engine is good, I think the chassis good as well.

You will spend money replacing what happened as a damage and if I were you I would fix it if I love the car.

But if you started to hate it! Then go a head and toss it..

Good luck man

RaulGCustom 07-20-2012 10:27 AM

I'm glad you're ok Carlitos! Be careful, I know you'll bounce back with something nice!

Yea engine is still good and I do love the G but u got to know when to cut ur losses. Is it really worth spending 10k+ to have the car not running the same as it use to and have it as salvaged???? To me it's not. Never said I hated the car.

It was already pretty much stock except for a few small items and the rims that were still on there. Insurance company is gonna pay me for the rims since I had them on the insurance, so that's cool. But thanks man.

MyocyteX 07-21-2012 05:07 PM

Sorry to hear man. Glad you came out alright. What about those center caps. They dont produce those anymore right? That's a couple hundred to you if you can get them. Good luck!

CEELOSG37S 07-21-2012 05:31 PM

Thanks man. Wow, really??? I did not know that. I'll see if I can ninja them off lol, the car is at a salvage yard right now.

Black Bird 07-22-2012 01:56 AM

How about, you fix it, bring back everything stock and sell it?

You have 1 wheel which is damaged, door, and finder.

I would say if you fix it. you would sell it with good price bro. You can even cover to get a very good deal on your new car you will buy.

G37Sam 07-22-2012 02:10 AM

Ouch!! I'm sorry to hear that man. Sad day in the G37 world.

Highly doubt that. The car will have a salvage title and that will make it very hard to sell at a decent price. If he can get insurance money for it, I think he should take that and move on.

Its not worth it man. The damage is way worse than what you can see from the picture. Quarter panel, side skirt, the whole passenger door, a piece right above the passenger door broke, both fenders were damaged, front bumper was damaged, hood, front wheel, passenger seat cause te airbag from the seat was deployed, steering wheel airbag deployed, and both passenger front and back airbags deployed. Definitely not worth it, I'll just take the insurance money for the car and the wheels, plus I didn't have much left to pay off the car anyways.

CEELOSG37S 07-23-2012 09:05 PM

Btw anobody need some stock 19 wheels? Also have stock radiator cover and stock sways.

TeRRoRiFiC35 07-25-2012 10:22 AM

That sucks, I liked your car. The only logical choices for your next car the E92 M3, Nissan GT-R, or Audi RS5 if you want a coupe. Spring can't come quick enough for me to buy a new car.

advan37 07-25-2012 06:07 PM

Sorry to hear that !! Good luck with your future plans

Tanks man, that means a lot. Yea I was thinking m3, sick as hell. GT-R is out of my price range and Audi is ehh. No sure yet though so we'll see. Keeping my options opened that's for sure.

I've been saying "I'll keep my options open" but my mind keeps going back to the E92 M3. The M3 was a childhood dream car so I can make a dream come true with that. The original car I was saving up for was the 2015 Lotus Elise, but I don't feel like waiting.
