Today 1.9.09

https://www.myg37.com/forums/members...442-after3.jpg

Settled pretty quick. A little over 1.6 inches in the front
Less than an inch in the back. I was only concerned with the front.

A quick review. The look is aggressive, should have come this way stock. I understand Infiniti's demographic so I know why it doesn't come stock this way. My G35 Sport came stock this low.

Braking: Solid! No diving!
Launch: The car doesn't kick back the way it used to. You can tell that the power is instantly being delivered to the pavement.
Turnpikes: Body roll is almost nonexistent.
The ride quality is almost as good as stock, so no sacrificing in that area.
Just looking at the springs you can tell you are rolling on quality.

I'm happy and highly recommend this modification over the keyhole delete! :icon17:

Update: I bottomed out last night in a horrible parking lot.
Checked under the car today and decided to take a couple of pics:28: and measure using a mans measuring tool.
No injuries:)

A full 6 days have passed since install.

This car is getting a lot lower than expected. You can barely see the top of the front tires. No regrets.

*Dr. Pepper was tasty.

thats a perfect drop IMO.. any lower would be over-doing it.. is it practical to drive around with?

Thank you! Any lower and I would bottom out in my drive way.

Very practical. Just ease over bumps at an angle and you will be fine.

Everybody is on you about doing this. DO IT SAM!:icon17:

So, your saying I should have gotten Her the Pro Kit springs instead?

G37Sam Jan 9, 2009 08:12 PM

I'm debating whether I should go for a drop or JP Vizage front kit.. the combo will be too low up front I will be scraping the front off lane markers lol

A lip and drop in your region would be a bad combo. You would need a new bumper every oil change.

A lip without a drop looks wrong and will make your G look higher.

Just drop it.

go lower, gotta tuck the wheels. I love when the top part of the tire disappears in the wheel well.

Well I bet you don't scrap so thats good. Nice detailed pics with spring comparison and the different settling times

Going lower in Dallas is a no no. Unless you sit on bags. To much weight.
My 35 scraped ALL the time. Every time it happened I was like @$#^* my BORLA!

Thanks! Just want to help inform anybody that is hesitant about a simple drop.

LOL keyhole delete is a must. Better aerodynamics :icon17:

^^ yea looks good, I'll prob have to raise up to around there when I'm back in NY. LOL if it was up to my dad my G would be SUV height. When I got my coils installed he was telling the guy he wants it back to stock height and was asking how high he could make it. Luckily I was the only one picking up the car so I had it dropped even further than before lol

I'm definitely dropping on Eibach as soon as summer rolls back around (in MN). Major improvement over stock. I ll be doing the keyhole delete after that so I don't mess up the right order :bowrofl:
