G37 or Cadillac CTS-V?

I took a step back just to see what else was out there, and a car that I fancied, one that my wife also loves is the Cadillac CTS-V. With 400 horsepower and some quick handling, performance-wise, I think it would give the G37 a good run.

However, the one I'm looking at is 2004 and doesn't have all the nifty options the G37 has.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has come across such a comparison or your thoughts on the CTS-V?

CTS-V's are sick, but not a fair comparison to the G37 as far as performance. If I was gonna get any CTS, it would be the new one which has just as many gadgets as the G37 and looks pretty decent IMO.

If you are gonna spend that much, then might as well get an Audi S5.

A 2007 CTS-V can be had for less than a loaded G37. That is, if you can find one out there.

the CTS-V is really nice. If you can get a good deal on that, go for it.

I love the G37, but would take the 08 CTS-V in a heart beat. I know we are not talking about the new CTS-Vs, but it's pretty damn sweet.

I have heard that the manual transmission if very loose in the CTS-V and that when you accelerate 'hard' in the CTS-V, it has a lot of 'axle hop' off the line. But it is as fast, if not faster, and larger larger (4 doors sedan) than the G37. A partner in our office has a 2006 model, and has issues with refinement on the inside as well.
