Anyone got recommendations for roof wraps in NoVA? I was quoted $260 from Kunzawrap in Rockville.
Whatever you do don't get gloss black vinyl. I had mine done at Exotic Vehicle Wraps, and while the work was done well enough the amount of texture and orange peel in the film they use makes it look horrible. I'll try to grab a photo today and post it here. The small areas they did with the gloss black (chrome spoiler and mirror covers) look just fine, but the roof is so large that the texture seems exaggerated.

Damn, that sucks! That's exactly what I want. Hopefully this Kunzawrap guy in rockville provides better quality. Thanks for the heads up!

Ask what kind of film they use...3M 1080 is legit.

I just asked Kunzawrap. They said Avery or 3M, whichever I prefer. I think I will go with 3M. Thanks for the info, guys!

Here is the texture on my roof. If you look in the clouds you can really see how bad it is. The install was fine, but I was expecting more gloss / clarity.

Yea, youo can see the threads. Just not good material. If they give you the option Skrolz, go with 3M.

What you see most of the DIY'ers here use and it's stuff I can personally vouch for.

Hey guys,
I was wondering what percentage you guys have for tint, and if you've ever gotten any crap for it? I got in trouble a while back for 20% all around (got pulled over FOR the tint, escalated into more). I pulled my tint off and vowed to never get tint again. ...but now I'm considering 35 on the rear windshield, and 50 on the sides, or 20 on the rear, and 35 on the sides (going darker in the rear to flow with a blacked out roof).

Thoughts?

I've got 20% and have never gotten a second look. Mine's also the metallic infused stuff that reduces heat so it actually looks lighter at certain angles. Open sunroof also introduces more light which makes it appear lighter.

If you're in DC/VA I wouldn't tempt anything darker than 35%...Those LEOs suck when it comes to cars and are notorious for giving guys crap for tint.

Probably a fat chance, but is anyone in the area selling an autokitsx rear diffuser, ver1 or 2? If not, any leads?

Red face

OH, and btw. I DID get my roof wrapped gloss black. It came out pretty good quality-wise; not perfect. Problem is, Graphite Shadow (KAD) is pretty dark as it is, and that paired with any lighting at all makes it look... like Graphite Shadow, lol. I'm sticking with it, it's subtle, but I'm slightly underwhelmed

I need some work done on my 2009 G37xS. Cannot get hold of Hommad, called him multiple times and left voice mails with no response.
Any recommendations for Shops/Mechanics in the NOVA area, please?
