Welcome. Lots of information here :D Most likely, any question you may have has already been figured out by someone, so this is an amazing resource, just have to do some digging at times.

Dealer pricing is out of hand. You can generally do most of the stuff you would need to do yourself, minus the more advanced issues like timing cover gasket.
For parts, a lot of the items can be found on Rockauto if you're on a budget. Z1 Motorsports, Concept Z Performance, TunerZStore, are just a few of the places you can find OEM parts and quality performance upgrades. Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg, but a good place to start.
