New 2014 Q60S coupe owner

Just picked up a clean Venetian Ruby 2014 Q60s coupe (sorry for no pictures) with 57k miles on it! Unfortunately it is automatic (is there a large stigma against autos like in other communities?), but it's not a deal breaker for me. Glad to be joining a community with such great aftermarket support. Previous car was a 2007 VW GTI that had a CEL every other week, so it's also reassuring to be driving an Asian car. Only question I have right now is if all of the parts (cosmetic and performance) for a G37 coupe fit on a 2014 Q60 coupe.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site, congrats on the new coupe, sounds like a nice color you found. Exterior parts, engine, and suspension parts will be mainly unchanged, there may be some interior trim parts and some electronic parts that may have been updated though.

Welcome! I recently bought my 2014 Q60 AWD, venetian ruby also! And, I was just coming out of a 2016 GTI lease. My GTI lost a trans at 20k (warranty) sunroof assembly and fuel pump. It was my first German car, so I leased it. Loved driving it!

Most everything is the same. Only differences I have noticed is Q60 badges on rear, Q60 floor mats, 3.7 badges on fenders, and slightly different color choices (don't think G37 was available in venetian ruby). I have shaved the 3.7 and I N F I N I T I badges, installed Morimoto XB LED fogs, OEM rear spoiler, OEM splash guards, and..that's about it. So, you can shop for G37 parts for your Q60. I have found some parts sites don't list a "Q60" option, so you may think it's not compatible, but it is. I almost always just search for 2013 G37, unless it is a part that needs to be venetian red.

Awesome, that's good to hear! I don't plan on changing anything about the interior or electronics, so that puts to rest one of the main question marks I had about this car. Sorry if this is asked a lot, but do you know what the best sites are for cosmetic mods?

Yeah the Venetian Ruby was what caught my eye on the car listing. I wasn't really looking for another red car (my GTI was red) as I thought it might be a bad luck color for me, but it was too pretty to pass up.

Honestly, I didn't really like driving my GTI that much. When the CEL was on I was always worried that if I pushed it a little too much then it would break even more stuff. When the CEL wasn't on, I didn't push it too hard because I was worried I would cause another CEL! This was also my first European car, and it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth, which is a shame because the GTI was one of my dream cars since I was a child. If I ever go European again, it will definitely be a new car.

I also shaved off some badges haha, but I just took off the "Q60S" and "AWD" badge. It felt weird having my car say Q60S when I only know this body style as a G35/7. Also, when you got the oem rear spoiler, did you have to get it painted, or did it come in venetian ruby? Good to know that I can just use the 2013 G37 option when looking for parts.

Okay thank you, that spoiler actually looks pretty good, I might have to get one myself. That's essentially what my Infiniti looks like too, I like the venetian ruby way more than the red that VW uses!

Love that red, I never noticed the subtle change in font with that model.
