Hey guys, just bought a 2009 journey sedan.
so I found a 2009 journey sedan and the car looks super clean and it runs great bought it for 7,500 and it had 110,500 on the odometer. Dude said he was just trying to get rid of it and that he priced it to sell ASAP. My mistake was purchasing the car without checking the Carfax on the damn car I was too damn excited and I just wanted the damn thing. So I check the vin and come to find out the odometer has been rolled back at least 40k miles. Texted the guy who sold it to me and he says that he got it that way and that he was sorry about what had happened. My question is can I take it to the dealership to get the odometer reading checked out and if so how much would it cost?

Sorry to hear of your mileage being misrepresented, but the old adage "if it seems to good to be true....". But to be honest, not many cars in that price range would hold a candle to that car, so there's that
Hopefully no other surprises come your way and look forward to plans you may have for it.
As far as what it would cost to have the dealership confirm true mileage, just need to call them and see if that's something they can do.
