Well, day 2 of ownership and the Service Engine Soon light just made itself known.
Pulled codes at Advance Auto and received. C1109 - Battery Voltage Abnormal P2A00 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Open Circuit P2A00 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 P2A00 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 I know the car had to be jump started the first time i test drove it, (car had sat for a couple weeks and it was cold outside). I had the battery tested when I bought it, so i am guessing this code was just stored from then. Not sure why there are multiple P2A00 codes, maybe there would be more information from a non-generic obd2 code reader. After some googling, it seems the P2A00 is a rabbit hole, guess I will start with resetting the ECU to clear the codes and see what comes back as relevant. If it comes back, does bank 1 sensor 1 refer to the passenger side pre-cat o2 sensor? |
CAnt remember the code but I had a similar situation and I checked my gas cap and the seal wasn't good. Replaced and reset the ECU and no issues since

Just to update this thread.
I reset the SES and the light popped back on with the same codes. Took the car to my local muffler shop and had them check for any cracks or exhaust leaks. Found that both catalytic converters were cracked where the subframe mount connects. Had them welded up and codes reset. Been almost a week and the codes have not come back, so hopefully it will stay that way. I also received my coupe wheels! https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4586/...85ea3995_z.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4538/...7a070333_z.jpg |
they look a lot better ,

Thanks!
This is my first G 3 pedal sedan, but I live the 3 pedal sedan life haha. Sold my E39 M5 a few years ago, nice to be back in something sporty. Thanks! How is she treating you nowadays? |

Amazing car!
How is she treating you nowadays? Appreciate it. She has been a great car. Just about to roll over 80k miles now and have had 0 issues. |
Nice find, where’d you get the wheels?

Congrats on the new ride, very nice. Good luck with all your upgrades and keep us posted!

Wow the coupe wheels really make it pop, paint is super clean too. Hope she's been treating you well!
