Regular gas

08 G37s, nothing but premium so far. Located in South Texas. Only have about 5 miles left of gas and stuck in the house for about five days. Can only work from home so long. All stations are out of premium and only getting regular delivered. How much damage can one tank of regular do? Thanks.

The ECU should adjust for 87. I'd probably avoid wot/high rpm, but you should be fine.

NONE!

I'm on my second G and for the past 12 years I've only used 87 Octane

Not to worry pal

This topic has been beaten to death over the years and using Premium is one huge myth for these vehicles. I put 171796 miles on my previous 06 G35 speed prior to trading it in and for my present 2012 G37S which is now close to 90k miles. All miles on 87 octane

I see your in New Jersey. I assume your daytime temps don't get very hot in the summer. Maybe that's why you get away with running 87?

I don't think it's a myth. If performance isn't as important as fuel economy, I suspect you're correct. However, if you're going to go WOT and use all 7500 rpm, I think it definitely makes a difference.

Have you noticed any diminished performance when operating in the peak power range of 5500+ rpm?

I'll be perfectly fine until you get premium fuel back in your area. Best of luck in our recovery. Hang tough.
