Question What color WHEELS???

Hi! New here. I have a black g37x and I am looking to black out my wheels and grill. Should I go glossy or matte black??? Anyone have pics to share? THANKS!

Since you asked... I don't recommend "blacking out" your factory wheels. They are already a bit small on the car and will look even smaller and IMO cheapen the look of the car. My suggestion is to either pony up for a nice set of 19 or 20s (in black if you must) or save until you can do so. I would also recommend considering Bronze, Oil-rubbed Bronze or even a deep oxblood for the aftermarket wheels. As for the grill, if you do the whole thing, I suggest gloss on the edges and satin in the center or leave the chrome and satin black the center

BTW, very nice G!

Thanks for your input. I am open to any and all suggestions. I was considering doing a plastic dip on the wheels for now til I am ready for an all new set as it will give me time to save and see what the black looks like.

don't forget the rest of the chrome trim...make it all consistent
a bronze or gold would set off nicely

Welcome to the site Rayx2, glad you found us. Here's my G, black trim & grill and black 18s w/ a machined bronze machine tint. If you don't plan to lower your G I'd stick w/ 18s and as you go lower the 19s and 20s look more at home.

I think you can get away with blacking out your wheels since your G is black. If it was white or silver it would be a lot more noticable.

My vote is for gloss black.

If you go the plasti dip route, make sure you use about 1 can per wheel. If you don't get enough coates on it will be too thin and make your life hell! if you ever want to remove it.
