Didn't get my G this weekend

I spoke to the dealer on the phone and he said it was in good condition= no dents, dings, scratches. Drove 4 hours to a POS! Severe rusting on rear rotor. Dents all of above on every angle of car.

But my wife did get her 08 G35 at other dealer, see below. I want these sport wheels but on a 2010 G sedan graphite shadow. I've seen on this website were someone had dark lettering on the infiniti wording and emblem on back.. pretty smooth looking.

Your not going to find those wheels on a 2010... they were 2007/2008 G35 sport wheels and 2012/2013 wheel/wood package wheels... never offered in 2010

Maybe his wife would like the 2010 wheels, that would be a win-win :)
Welcome to the site OP, sorry you wasted your time at the dealer, sucks when they're full of sh*t. Glad you found a nice 35 though
Good luck in your search.

That would be awesome, but she would never go for it. She's in love now blnewt. This is coming from the same woman thats really not a car person but has always wanted a G! I'm happy she finally got her car.

Now, back to me..:hello:

So those sport wheels I've been seeing on 2010's sedans? Dealers are putting older model sport wheels on them?

The split spokes that are on your wifes' 35 may have been part of a tire/wheel upgrade pkg for the 2010 journeys w/ the 17" wheels, not sure :confused2:
My 07 35 had the upgraded wheels and they were the same as your wifes rims. Not sure how long they continued those wheels.

Just found this from topspeed.com=

Larger 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and P225/50R18 front and P245/45R18 rear W-rated tires are standard on the G37 Sport 6MT and Sport Package-equipped G37 Journey models,

Didn't know that.. Looks like I must have the sport package now. That will work. I like the illuminated kick plates too

I love those wheels as well.

I believe the 07-08 Sport Wheels were also offered on 09-13 models within the "Performance Tire & Wheel Package", which includes 18" x 7.5" split 7-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/50R18 all-season performance tires.

You do not see them much because many of the G37s you see on the road are the Lease Specials with the low end base wheels.

However, note that if you order the Sport Package for these later years, you are stuck with the "Spiderman" Wheels and the Performance Tire & Wheel Package is not offered.

I also believe that in 07-08, the front and backs were staggered, but if ordered as part of the Sport Appearance Package in later years, they were not.

So the wife's car has kumho ecsta front- 225/50zr18 95w and rear 245/45z/r18. Does this mean they are staggered? Or they just put different sizes tires on?

They are staggered, those are the same as my 07 had w/ the same rims.

Keep in mind the 2010+ G37s w/ Sport package aka G37S have 18" wheels but they're this version, the nicer looking split spoke 18" wheels that your wife has won't clear the large Akebono calipers :(

Yea I'm not crazy about those rims. Still haven't test drove the sport yet tho. Even if I liked it.. Still not sure about those wheels.

So, socketz67 said the later models sport package may be non staggered. Can anyone confirm that for sure? I will look that up also

The sport package that comes w/ the bigger brakes, thigh bolstered seats, shift paddles, sport bumper etc does come w/ staggered wheels/tires, but I'm not sure what the wheel configuration would be with just the wheel upgrade pkg :confused2:
I think Socketz has the correct info AFAIK.

Glimmer37 08-05-2013 08:25 PM

Ok, thanks for the info guys.

socketz67 08-05-2013 10:15 PM

I'm not sure if the wheels from the Performance Tire & Wheel Package will clear the larger brake calipers/rotors. In fact, that may be why this is not an available option with the sport package when you build online or through Edmunds. I bet the dealer would know if you ask them. If these do not work, then I would look to the coupe 19s. Those look excellent on newer sedans as well.
