SVT Cobra to a G37 S Coupe
Greetings, my last sports car was 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra that made about 530hp. It had 4.10 gears, and was an absolute beast to drive. I loved it until it met its untimely demise in the form of a concrete median. That was a couple years ago, and as much as I wanted that power back, I really wanted a more luxurious car for my next ride. I was stuck between the Pontiac G8 GT and Challenger R/T. I didn't even think a G37 was in my price range until I noticed the G cost less than a Challenger with decent options and manual.
I've been about American muscle my entire life, and also wanted a change; so about a month ago, I picked up a 08 G37 S Coupe w/manual and 37k on the clock. I already put on a Magnaflow exhaust and I am really enjoying the car. I get compliments on it all the time and its definitely the perfect combination of luxury and sport for my budget. Hopefully, the G will be enough to hold me over for a few years until the CTS-V comes down more in price. Or maybe, I'll just put on a superchager and say F it.
Anywhoo, I been lurking enough on this forum and figured I'd introduce myself. Happy driving and modding.....

welcome to the forums man, thats a hell of a switch from a terminator to a G thats for sure. my good friend has an 01 cobra and whenever i let him drive my car he says how my car is quicker than he first thought it was gonna be. its definitely a great mix of luxury and sport....

Funny. I’m actually thinking about picking up a 03-04 Cobra Terminator. I’ve had my 2011 G37s 6MT sedan for over 4yrs. I love it for several reasons and the practicality, but I’ve dreamed of getting into the raw power of a Cobra for a few years now. It would be hard to give up my G, so maybe just get the Cobra as a weekend car. Aiming to get one with about 40k miles in the low to 20s.
