Greetings from The370z

Hey everyone, I'm an ex 370z owner about to walk into the Infiniti scene (family car is taking a dive so needed another car). I thought this would b the perfect place to ask some questions. Since this will be used by my wife as well it needs to be automatic. I was wondering if the G37s came in auto? Thanks guys

Yes, I have 08 G37S auto:biggthumpup:

Awesome. Now for the big question, how does it hold up to a 370z? I loved that car and still am going to buy another, but I can't resist the looks of the G :D

Z gave way to G 07-25-2011 11:24 PM

It rides alot smoother and quieter than the 370. Obviously more roomy as well.

I think a G37S 7AT would be perfect for your situation

Thanks for the help guys. I hope to join the ranks with a G37s AT soon :D

As Ant said a G37S with the 7spd auto trans. might be right for your situation. You might read both here and some other places that some people are having problem or don't care for the 7 spd.auto trans, but I have an 09 G37xS with it and am totally happy with its performance. The trans adapts to your style of driving, aggressive or not, is quite nice when you get used to it. Don't misunderstand me that I don't like the 6 spd., it can a more sporty feel shifting you own gears but if your needs call for an auto tranny, I feel 7 spd. a great choice. Enjoy your new car and welcome to the forum.

OP: The G is basically a heavier 5-seat Z. It has just as much power, a nicer interior, and some parts you may have sitting around could possibly even work on a G.

The Z and the G are basically fraternal twins. It's completely different, yet completely the same car. Go drive one. :)

awesome, I have a greddy exhaust. Would that fit the G?

The G has a 12 in longer wheelbase and a 20" longer overall length so I doubt the exhaust will fit, but I'm not an expert, others here can confirm.

I just bought a G37 w/ the 7 speed auto and I love it. I'd prefer the manual as well, but am in a similar situation where the wife has to have an automatic.

The test and y pipes fit on both gs and zs. Everything from there back I think is vehicle specific.

I'm sure you'll be welomed with open arms on here :)
