new 08 g37s

so i just got a platinum graphite 08 g37s (6mt) and i wanted to introduce myself to everyone in the forum... i had posted some threads in the buying/leasing threads.. and i finally made my decision, but i cant pick up the car until friday cause i have to find a parking garage.. anyways, if anyone could let tell me some pointers on exhausts, and intake i would really appreciate that... alright thanks guys

congrats and welcome... search the forum there's plenty of threads to read about these things :D

yeah i just cant make up my decision whether to get fujita, or the stillen generation 3.... also i want to be cheap and go with the greddy tic's but i dont know if that will give me the most performance for my money... also im confused about what test pipes are.. i have asked friends but it just hasnt worked out

aliiin 01-05-2009 11:52 PM

stillen gen 3 for sure... get borla if you want gains... that's proven to have the most on the dyno so far... don't get test pipes unless you're going FI... go HFC...

blazeahundo2 01-05-2009 11:53 PM

so i should get the berks? and also dont the kits come with cats?

aliiin 01-05-2009 11:54 PM

borla is a catback... so there is no cat for borla, replace the stock cats with berk or fi hfcs... you won't go wrong with either but many people have had nightmares with CEL lights and what not... just research and read reviews before you put them on

thanks man

I'll probably get slammed for saying this as there seems to be real strong opinions in each camp, but you might want to put some miles (say about 1200 as in the break-in recommendation) on the car first before changing intakes, exhausts, cats. Enjoy!

blazeahundo2 01-06-2009 12:14 AM

that is my plan, but i wanna get some advice now so when the time comes ill be ready to act asap

You will probably beat me. Over 4 months and not a 1000 miles yet. :driving: it only during good weather.
