From the Post:

One of Washington's best-kept secrets, and the lagniappe that launched a tradition, is Morton's complimentary mini-steak sandwiches. Three of the Chicago-based chain's branches here, in Georgetown, Reston and Arlington, adhere to that great humanitarian gesture of tucking slices (or sometimes trim ends) of tenderloin on rolls the size of large ladyfingers to cocktail hour patrons. Not all the Morton's branches pony up anymore: Both the downtown restaurant and the new Bethesda location charge for the sandwiches ($8 for four and $3 for four, respectively), and the Fairfax Square Morton's in Tysons Corner doesn't even make them. But even at a dollar or so apiece, these treats are pretty impressive, especially when you consider that what the menu calls "Morton's 'slightly smaller' steaks" cost $34 to $39.

...

The Bethesda Morton's has what it calls the $3 menu, a half-dozen lounge offerings that include, in addition to the steak sandwiches, three silver dollar cheeseburgers with garnish that may not be as large as Harry's, but they aren't Little Tavern miniatures, either (and there are three, after all). Large chilled shrimp are $2 apiece (a trifle rubbery, but still pretty good) and oysters $1 apiece.
