Where can I buy Amsoil around here
I have decided to use them as my primary oil choice of synthetic due to what I have read in the techincal forums. Anyone know of its availability?

you would have had to have been at the car care seminar to get the whole breakdown. synthetic oil rises to the top more quickly and also distributes mroe evenly partly due to the molecular structure of it being more static over regular oil.
less engine wear. keeps the car lasting longer.

I purchased 2 cases of (24 qt total) amsoil from their website. The trick is to sign up for their Preferred Customer Program. A 6 month membership is $10 and you can save 15-20% off your purchase. In my case, I purchased 24 qts for roughly $57x2 + $10 membership + shipping. It came out to ~$5.50 per qt and on par with Mobil 1 prices. I also went with amsoil's oil filters as well.
The thing is, AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-30 is rated up 25k miles before changes and their oil filter is 12.5k miles. You have the option of going longer before changing out oil or filter. I probably won't wait that long but I can go a little beyond 5k in between changes if I needed compared with regular oil.
