Anyone ever race a LT1 Camaro (93-97 years)

What was the outcome? I have a little wager going on with my friend and he's a little nervous but so am I!

I'm totally stock 2010 sedan and he has Cat back. Should be a decent race.

I think those years put up similar 0-60 numbers as the current G37/Q50: Chevrolet 0-60 Times & Chevrolet Quarter Mile Times | Chevy Chevelle SS, C7 Corvette ZO6 0-60, New Camaro Z28 0-60, Tahoe and Chevy truck 0 to 60 stats!

Technology since the 90's has made major leaps. It very well could come down to driver etc etc. If he has done much work on it though it could be a totally different story

They usually pull their figures from industry rags. I've referenced them for years and have not found any glaring inaccuracies.

On paper I win every time but he does have some light mods. We are going to the track so traction won't be an issue. He will be doing his pre stage routine and I will not. Honestly I think I'll run him down if he gets a jump on me.

he will most likely get a jump on you with 250+ torque. you might catch him down the track though.

I just recently sold my LT1 Firebird after 15 years of ownership....301 WHP and 345 TQ. I think he will take you in the 1/8, provided he can launch, and you'll spend the next 1/8 of a mile running him down.

This is exactly what I think will happen also. Although I do think he will spin more than me off the line.

When I had my 98 Z28 with a Whisper lid and full exhaust I did 13.00 @105 2.0 60' in the quarter mile on Pep Boys tires. This was at Orlando Speed World.
