I thought we should start a thread to get an idea of our best track times...

5AT..All Stillen bolt ons, KW's, SSR-F's, All GT SPEC braces, SPL Camber kit, NT05's, Project Mu B Spec pads, Seibon vented hood, Stillen oil and trans coolers.

California Speedway: 2:05
Willow Springs Big Track: 1:46
Streets of Willow: 1:33

I'm hoping to get some more track training this year and shave 5 to 10 seconds off these times! I also may gut the rear passenger area to shave some weight.

these are my 2008/2009 times. these will be updated as more events happen this year.

heavy rain at laguna. hopefully z car garage gets their oil cooler kit out. also looking forward to stillen sways and maybe cbe.

Dustin, your SoW time is pretty respectable as is. If you shave 5 seconds from that, you're in serious contention with some rather expensive cars. If you shave 7-8 seconds, I will **** my pants, and tell you to get into some real competition. (CW or CCW)

WSIR, I think 5-7 seconds is very possible.

Going from FK452 to NT05 made a huge difference yeah?

Yeah I'm really liking the NTO5's..

I'm setting up my car for the season here in the midwest. I did a lapping day at mid-ohio pretty much stock last year, but never really got any clean laps... always catching up to someone.

Here's the set up for this year.

Stillen oil cooler
Stillen gen 3 intakes
cobb ap
FI HFCs
Front and Rear camber kits
BC Coils
Volk RE30's
Hoosier R6's
SS Brake Lines
Ate Super Blue
Hawk HP+ brake pads

Just need to order get some parts installed and order my tires. There's a test and tune later this month at putnam park. I'll post back up how it runs.

Are HP+ enough to handle R comps/slicks on a car this heavy? I'm not familiar with your track, so I'm curious.

I personally haven't gotten much info from any g owners running r's... I talked it over with a buddy of mine who drives competitivly in a 35 and didn't seem to think the car would be unbalanced with r's and HP+

I've had the HP+ for ahwhile now and never installed them, so I'm going to try them out before moving on to something else.

The first day at the track here is a test and tune with sessions in the morning and then an open track in the afternoon. I figured it would be a good time test...

i guess it depends on the speeds you're reaching whether you will overpower the hawks. i feel like id rather go to track pads before upgrading my tires.

I have had the hawk pads since last season, before I decided to go this aggressive with the car. Pads are easy to upgrade though, if the pads end up being the weak link in the set up, I'll probably change out for track pads or possibly upgrade the whole system.

The event at putnam park comin up is just a test and tune, I'll have a chan e to assess everything then and hopefully bring some good feedback back to the forum.


I went withthe Hoosier r6's for tires btw.

-StopTech breaks
-Project MU pads
-UR Crank pulley
-Stock tires

makes sense rossab. let us know how it goes. i might pick up some carbotech xp12s to run before my next event. project mu pads just seem to be a little too soft on long straights.

I posted this in the midwest forums too... but if anyone near indiana is interested, I talked to the owner of predator motorsports who is putting on the lapping day at Putnam Park. There are still spots open. Cost is $275 and he waived the late registration fee for me. It's a little more expensive than some events, but the format should allow for a lot of seat time.

I'll be going there from cinci and would love to see some other g's there.

^ Is more seat time necessarily a better thing? I like to allow time for my car to cool off between each session, and there's always driver fatigue to deal with as well (possibly not that big an issue, but so-cal tracks hit ambient temps over 100 easy in the summer, for pretty much the whole day).
