button swap mod

Hi, I live in Vancouver and was wondering if someone in the area has done the button mod, I am having a lot of trouble getting the ribbed clip off. So I was wondering if someone had some tricks or insight on swapping the start buttons. Thanks for reading :)

Have you checked the DIY forum? I am pretty certain I saw a thread there on how to do this.

NickyP is correct. There are threads regarding swap out of the start button, even changing LED colors on the start button. Just gotta search for it. I don't have those threads in my subs for some reason. Thought I did.

I used a tiny flat head screwdriver to remove the housing from the stock start button. the whole mod took me maybe 10 minutes to do, its very simple. There are a few threads on here and google on how to do the swap. I wish I took the time to actually change the LEDs, I think that would be awesome actually.

I followed the DIY and worked through it pretty easily both times I did it. I installed a modded GTR button first then swapped that out for an Impul button. Only thing I did differently was use a knife vs the screwdriver, dunno why but it was a lot easier for me to do it that way.

I think I'll be in Vancouver later this month if you still need help.
