Weight Reduction

Ok lets get one thing straight here. The G37 will never be a light car (unless completely gutted) and i know that. I also would not be tracking the G37 if i got one....BUT...i would to shave a few pounds off the car without taking away from the interior features/creature comforts.

Anyone lighten their G? Any Ideas? Any Mods to do this?

There is a lot you can do. To start, you can do what Solo did and replace the front seats in the car which can save a lot of weight. Then change out the exhaust, flywheel, and rims for something lighter. Some mods will save more weight than others as you probably know but each will add up. Also take out the spare as mentioned. Carbon fiber hood and trunk too but that doesn't cut a lot of weight from what I have heard. Still waiting for parts to come out like titanium exhaust so you will need to wait a little if you are serious on lightening you car.

CF hood and trunk if hand laid will only save a few pounds not worth it. Remove all but one seat. if you wait for one that is vacuum sealed or bagged like mastergrade that will shave pounds.
Change mirrors (if you can get some custom ones)
take off sound deadening materials (lots of it )
eat nothing for 3 weeks.Saves money too for new seats.

A carbon fiber hood will probably save you 2-3 lbs.
