the doors are plenty heavy...with the added steel reinforcement on there, they are heavier than the 350Z doors. I think the c/f doors saved the Z 70lbs overall...

yep, you will have to get the side bar which makes getting in and out of the car horrible. I removed my cf doors from my S2 just because i was sick of the side bars....

For anyone not tracking their car on a daily basis and still streeting it the idea of removing sound deadening, changing seats and such seems crazy to me. If I wanted a louder, less comfortable car I'd have bought a 350z...

for me, I have already cut my cars weight down by about 20 lbs. by doing a few of the before mentioned suggestion; i.e. removing the spare and tools, lighter weight dry cell battery and I also have removed all the plastic trim panels under the hood and around the car that are for cosmetic appearence and can put them back on anytime. I even built a custom sub box to drop into where my spare tire use to be, for anyone wanting to kill the spaare an d jack you can save almost 25 lbs just by doing that.. my amp, sub and the box that replace it weigh in a about 17 lbs so I didn't save as much as if I would do with out, but it is removable.

not all of us like the style of the 350... me personally dont like the look at all its not my taste which is why i wouldnt get it over the G37 regardless for the fact that i plan to make it a hard core track car...

get a G37 w/o a sunroof or take the motor out and just leave the window up there. It will lower your center of gravity by soo much as well as save weight.

That is in the case of a wet laid hood. Vacuum or dry your looking at 8-10lbs of weight saved.

Mastergrades hood and trunk will be about 12lbs for the hood and 9-10lbs for the trunk.
