Chicagoland G's - Where you at?
 

So it seems that it is officially summer. We skipped from winter straight to summer apparently. I'll take it i guess. With that being said where are all my Chicago area G's at? :thewave: I am also on Chicago Z but it's not as active as in the past years i guess. And I only say that based on the comments and thread dates not because I've been part of the forum before.

I noticed there wasn't an active Chicagoland Area thread so figured I'd post up.

But anyway... I heard there's car meets at the Orland Park Best Buy on 159th and Lagrange Ave. every thurs. Any one go to these?

Are there any G exclusive meets? I havent been part of the chicago car scene for some time now since I had my evo but would be cool to see other modded G's. :biggthumpup:

We should do a portillo's meet one of these weekends. We did one in 2012 at the portillo's on 83, just south of 64. Pretty good showing too, ~20-30 cars.

Most of us probably outgrew this and are busy with other family functions.

I'm tossing the idea of doing a small cruise out west. I got a nice loop of about 200-250 miles that covers some technical (if you can call it that) roads. Used to do it on the bike, but am bikeless now. Keep your eyes open at chicagoz.

Do you have a link to this route? Since I cannot attend, maybe I'll do it on my own.

Maybe Sunday before Game of Thrones or next weekend.

Post in that thread about sunday. We'll see. The lunch spot is closed sundays. I do have a few others places in mind along the route.

As for the route, I got it memorized. I've been doing it on the bike for years now. I can bring the gps with and have it record breadcrumbs.

To answer your question, there is no official Chicagoland G community. G's usually meet with Z's. Talk of creating a community have been up and down quite a few times, but it appears that most of us have full lives and don't have the time to start it up.

Adding myself to the list as well. New G member in Chicago area. Hopefully a meet can be organized sooner than later, maybe this weekend?

This isn't G/Z specific, but its a great chance to look at some other cars and have a place to meet up since it's already a standing event.

A few of us, 73 actually, are part of the "Midwest Infiniti G Owners Association." We are a new, only about a month or so old. I was part of the group when there was only a few of us and it's turning into something much bigger. The name is kind of long lol we are still in the process of changing that but there's alot of good guys there, no website, we function, discuss and post items through our Facebook group. There's been a couple meets where about 10 or so guys have shown up but we are in the process of planning a much bigger one. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know.
