To each his own, brother. After the results I saw from some of the UpRev tuned dynos, and the recommendations I've received from several shops to go with EcuTek, I think my decision was wisely made.

[/QUOTE]Hey guys I have a 2011 IPL and I just got re-tune over the weekend. Last year I made 323whp/247wtor with Gen3 CAI,Stillen STD light weight pulley, Fast Intention resonated TP with IPL existing exhaust system. This year I added Motordyne m370 intake manifold, Art test pipe, gthaus axle back exhaust with IPL h-pipe and mid section, z1 34 row oil cooler. The result was shocking lol and only made 314whp with 248wtor?? What happen to 10-14whp torque Motordyne claim. That Im not sure, the tuner it self was shock also and work on it for over 3hr. This was done basically same month last year in Toronto few days ealier to date. Much cooler temperature at night compare last year also with at least 10 C less. I email Tony from Motordyne with the dyno result. Any IPL out there tried this setup? I've seen alot of 370z claim high 260ish torque result? Yes I was aware of the top end decline of 1-4whp but not 9whp lol. I'm going FI next year so I wanna use this setup with GTM stg2 SC I hope I dont lose power.

I hear you, I just got tuned with ecutek and made a peak of 10whp and 14wtq. in the midrange I gained as much as 25 wtq and 20whp gains. Put down 295whp and 251wtq with just intake and catback exhaust. Totally worth it to go with ecutek, I had Uprev on my 370z and gained virtually nothing on the same dyno and tuner with intake and exhaust. By the way, I'm also 7at rwd.

Old thread I know ,. But love the ecuteck fans. "YES it better"!, really how? Your number are exactly what I put down 298 WHP and 230 WHTQ, TRQ is lower because when mine was done no one was playing with the cam timing, Plus a have a 7spd auto and X to boot and the car always fights the dyno. So number would be about the same, and all dynos are different so again numbers are probably the same.

I know their "timing" issue is on decal but still an issue

Over the weekend I had my car put on the dyno. I had a base run with E370, RHFC's, drop-in filters and silicone tubes. The car made decent numbers: 289hp and 239tq.

My reason for bringing the car in was to have the M730 installed, have new spark plugs installed and to get a tune. So... after the M370/plugs were installed the car was put on the dyno again and lost power (9hp/5tq). By looking at the results it seems that it lost power in the area where it's supposed to gain (mid to upper mid-range) from the M370.

The shop was unable to tune it due to the fact that I have a newer ECM and they did not have the ROM file in their library. They made a copy of it and sent it to UpRev. The shop owner said it should be about two weeks before UpRev will send back the new ROM.

My questions:

1) Will a tune correct the loss of power?
2) Could there be any external factors for the loss of power (install of new spark plugs or the ECU needing to relearn, humidity, etc.)?

The solid line on the graph is the best run without the M370 while the dotted line is the best run with the M370. I'm sure I'm missing something so any constructive input is welcome.

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully RZA will read this. I noticed your dyno sheet had rozelles ferry for the address, I thought CIN was over off woodlawn? If they moved off rozelles ferry I will sh*t a brick, I just moved nearby.

Don't get me wrong,I'm not saying ecutek is better.i just think some people are on the fence whether to tune with ecutek or uprev, there is so many positive comments about uprev I just wanted to put out a little positive info about ecutek. Plus, the cam timing doesn't make 20wtq difference in numbers either, maybe 5wtq. Me personally, I feel like the ignition timing can be better optimized with ecutek to provide more consistent gains and consequently a more consistent running car. One drawback with fooling around with the intake cam timing is you lose the cold startup advance to light off the cats, this results in a p1421 cold startup ses.
