Aesthetic improvement aside, I can't say enough about utilizing a mod like this for just the increased safety factor alone when signaling to other drivers that you're turning (and in my case, braking).
Although the manual process of the DIY module install route might be a tall task for some, leading to apprehension about splicing into wires... and they would rather the simplicity of the PnP option for their coupe or sedan (also keeping that true oem look if anyone was to peer below the trunk liner trim)... the thing the DIY module shown in the video with Paul from DD (2nd post) allows one to do easily is to wire up the existing turn signal light (of course, replace it with an LED bulb and that will also require an inline resistor somewhere on the turn circuit to prevent hyper-blink).
The end result is even more visual impact in terms of signaling those behind you when you're braking or using the turn signals (or even hazards).
Here's an example of what's possible.. (excuse the potato like vid quality)

Thanks for the reply. I suppose it would be possible to rewire things to eliminate the resistors and keep the OE bulbs in place. You don't have a pic of the item on you site. Is the wiring for the OE incandescent bulbs omitted from the connectors? I'd prefer to make all wiring modifications at your module/harness rather than cutting into the factory harness.
